After the Great Ground Hog Day Blizzard of 2011 had us postpone and relocate, we met
last week in Schaumburg for dinner at TGIFridays. Colleen was able to make it.

Zeta Day 2011 – Info Update
• I need pictures from our 2011 meetings and dinners (Make N Bake Auction,
Chinese New Year, and TGIFridays) to display in a digital picture frame.
• We need to do a group basket worth at least $50. I have already bought and
donated 150 turquoise blue & steel gray Christmas tree ornaments. So at this point
does any one have anything else to go with this theme?
• We are suppose to sell adds in the program

Panhellenic News
• Panhellenic Scholarship Dinner: Wed- April 27, 2011
• Our theme will be Bread- (not the music group) so a bread board or basket with
items such as: wine, cheese, honey, olive oil, fruit, jams, jellies, cloth napkins,
Knife, spreaders, Baking Supplies (bread pan, bread flour, yeast, salt,) cloth
tablecloth, Panera gift card, cookbook, etc- use your imagination

Save the 2011 Dates:
• Tuesday April 5 – Dinner out in Schaumburg – Location TBD – OR we do
a pizza party that Barb won. Details at the next meeting.
• Saturday April 16- Zeta Day at Highland Park Country Club

Well our Chinese New Year Dinner seemed to be an enjoyable evening out.
Everyone wore red and toasted the New Year. We had Mary (and Don's) news
and Dave Duffy beat out all the other husbands to win a raffle basket
that night.

A recap of all the food we had: Eggplant With Garlic Sauce, Crispy
Chicken, House Fried Rice, Sautéed Pea Pod Tips, Beef & Broccoli,
Roast Duck, Cashew Chicken, Marco Polo Steak, Lobster With Ginger &
Onion, Beef Short Ribs, Singapore Style Vermicelli Noodles, Salt &
Pepper Squid, Sweet &Sour Chicken, Sweet & Sour Pork, Shrimp
With Green Onions, Vegetable Delight, Soup And White Rice.

Just a reminder there is no regular meeting this month but rather our annual Chinese New Year Dinner out later this month.

This is not just a couples event but one where "Friends of ZTAs are also
invited".  For those of you that have not attended it is a night out
for adult conversation and to try lots of authentic and Americanized
dishes. I will order at least one thing you have to try before you are
told what they are. We will also have dishes if you are feeling very
adventurous that night.

New this year per Trudy: "You can also let people know that there will
be ONE raffle basket that night for non-Zetas to bid on, so people
should bring their checkbooks" We all know what nice baskets Trudy does.

It is a very reasonably priced restaurant where last year we all had
drinks, more food then we could eat and tip for less then $15 per
person.

We may be able to do before dinner drinks & appetizers if Carol is available but that is TBD.
